The expected day arrived. After waiting nearly five months, Sarah's many busy hours of preparations were fruitful and the second part of the exchange started on Thursday 6th October. On that day, at 6 p.m., a coach left Jaén for Málaga airport to pick up the two English teachers and the sixteen students. There were four Spanish people on the coach: the driver (of course), Juan (one teacher), and two students,Luna and Cristina, who asked to welcome the English group since their two respective partners were not able to come to Spain.
Just as it had been planned, the plane from Leeds Bradford aiport landed at Málaga airport at 9:15 p.m. where the Spanish people were waiting. After the necessary steps in airports, the Spanish people were able to welcome the English group warmly. After the greetings, without further delay, all of them headed towards the coach park in order to begin the return journey to Jaén as soon as possible. They had left England with rainy and cold weather and found a warm evening in Spain.
After they had been driving for about an hour, they stopped in a service area to have something to eat or drink. On the road again and about 1 a.m. they arrived in Jaén, at Sta María del Valle Avenue, where IES Jabalcuz is, and where the Spanish families were waiting for them. Each family welcomed the respective English partner and went home as it was very late and they had to get up early next morning.
Juan Manuel, the headteacher, and Juan took the English teachers,Sara and Sandra, to the hotel to rest after a very tiring day.
